For years, we’ve been surrounded by stories of collapse. Dystopian futures, ecological crisis, isolation, inequality. Those stories don’t move us: they freeze us. And we can’t build a future we can’t imagine.
But the future is already happening. There are people and communities already living it: regenerative economies, local food systems, open technologies, new forms of community. The Impossible Future set out to find those stories. Every solution the series shows is already working somewhere in the world.
From October 18 to 25, we want to screen The Impossible Future simultaneously in spaces all over the world. The same questions, asked at the same time, in different places. One week. Many cities. Many conversations. Many possible futures.

Something shifts when these stories stop being watched alone. When you watch an episode and then sit down with other people to talk about it. When a story becomes a conversation, a conversation becomes a connection, and a connection becomes the start of something nobody planned. When people come together to imagine, something sparks. And once it starts, it doesn’t stop.
To make all of this happen, we’re building a network of two kinds of spaces. The hives: hubs, cultural centers, schools and organizations with their own community, who bring the venue and the reach. And the pollinators: people who don’t need anything big to join in, just a couch or somewhere to sit, watch the series with five or ten people and the desire to spark a conversation.
To organize a screening, whether you’re a hive or hosting in your own space, there’s a complete kit: the series, guiding questions and ready-to-use promotional materials. There’s no licensing fee. And every registered screening is added to the world map, because seeing where else this is happening is also part of what makes it spread.
That same week is also the final week of our crowdfunding campaign. On October 25, this effort comes to a close, and with it, the chance for the remaining eight episodes to reach the entire world. The series is already made. What we’re still building is the network that carries it further. This week is part of that.
One week. Many cities. Many conversations. Many possible futures.
Thank you!
Unlock the future.
